Don't change it's name in this situation. If you want to make it visible for any user on your computer, simply add the line to the 'xscreensaver.rc' file in the /etc directory overwriting the original.
This is to make the SETI screensaver only show for your user. The version in the /etc directory may be preferable as any modifications for your particular setup should already be included in that version, while the ones in /usr/share will be generic files. I personally like having a screensaver running on my PC when i’m not using it, and if you do too you’ll likely already have XScreenSaver installed and set up. Instead, when you leave your computer idle for a set period Ubuntu blanks the display to conserve power. Ubuntu no longer bundles a screensavers with the default build.
